Notice on the Protection of Personal Data of Natural Persons

Article 1: Who is the "Data Controller" ?

In the context of its activities, the Fondation Jeunes Scientifiques (hereinafter FJSL) collects, records and consults a set of personal data (name, surname, physical or electronic address, telephone numbers, etc.), hereinafter referred to as "Data", of natural persons and uses them in analogue or digital form and by means of automated processes or not.

Article 2: What categories of Data are processed?

The FJSL processes the Data within the authorized limits and in compliance with the regulations in force, including the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679, applicable in the countries of the European Union, and relating to the protection of individuals with regard to personal data.

Article 3 : What is the purpose of and basis for processing your Personal Data?

When these regulations are modified, the FJSL will adapt this document as necessary and will notify the Customer of the applicable changes by putting an adapted version of this notice online.

This notice applies to the FJSL, which is a non-profit foundation:

Article 4 : Where will your Personal Data be processed?

The Data available to the Fondation Jeunes Scientifiques is collected from young scientists and partners respectively, within the framework of the relationship between the young scientists and partners respectively and the FJSL. This relationship can be related to one or more of the following actions (non-exhaustive list): National Jonk Fuerscher National Contest, Science Fair, workshops, service contract, support for international competitions, training, notifications, creation of an Alumni network, etc.

Article 5 : Who has access to your Personal Data?

The Data may be communicated within the FJSL to ensure the services of accompaniment and promotion of young scientists and which may therefore, and within the limits of the purposes as mentioned below with the young scientists, pass between the different organizations around science at national and international level.

The data collected from the young scientists and partners are also communicated as needed to

  • subcontractors, if they are related to services requested for the activities (transportation, training, international competitions etc.);

  • accounting subcontractors;

The FJSL agrees not to resell the Data of young scientists and partners and also not to communicate it or make it accessible to third parties, without reason relating to the primary purpose for which the young scientists and partners are linked to the FJSL.

Article 6 : What are your rights with respect to your personal data?

According to the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679, young scientists and partners have a right to awareness, rectification, transfer to another provider of their personal data and - within the limits of the legislation in force - a right to erasure or limitation of the processing of their Data.

Article 7 : How can you contact us and exercise your rights?

To exercise one of these rights, young scientists and partners can send a request to the Fondation Jeunes Scientifiques Luxembourg by post to 40, boulevard Pierre Dupong, L-1430 Luxembourg, by email to contact@fjsl.lu or - in the event of a complaint - address it to the National Commission for Data Protection (CNPD).
