Fondation Jeunes Scientifiques Luxembourg (FJSL) is an organisation with public utility that promotes natural and social sciences among young people in Luxembourg and provides a platform where they can exhibit their own scientific projects, participate in cultural exchanges and win prestigious awards.
The foundation has been first established under the form of an association in 1977 and a separate foundation in 1992 to assure a steady financing of the association’s activities.
On a national level, FJSL is closely working with the Service National de la Jeunesse, with the Ministère de l’Education nationale, the Mérite Jeunesse, the University of Luxembourg, the Musée national d’histoire naturelle and many educational institutions (national and international alike).
On an international level, FJSL is a founding member of MILSET (Mouvement International pour le Loisir Scientifique et Technique) and its contest is recognised by the UNESCO.
In 2017, FJSl has been awarded the High Patronage of his Royal Highness the Grand-Duc.
